Our Shelter Program provides safe, clean and welcoming environments for women amidst escalating challenges in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside.
- Emergency Shelter: 412 East Cordova St. (24 hours)
- Warming and Respite Space: 398 Powell St. (2:30 pm–9 am)
- Overflow Shelter: 265 East Hastings St. (24 hours)

Each year, more than 1800 women access a bed.
Some of the ongoing trends impacting women’s homelessness include:
- An increased number of new immigrants and refugees, including LGBTQ refugees
- More women fleeing intimate-partner violence
- A decrease in available housing stock and more evictions
- Extreme weather events, particularly in winter, making outdoor living untenable
