DJ has lived in the Downtown Eastside for 28 years and has called Vancouver home her entire life. She loves coming to The Downtown Eastside Women’s Centre because it gives her the opportunity to meet new people and build meaningful relationships within the community. Her warmth, kindness, and infectious laugh draw people in wherever she goes. In fact, it is almost impossible to walk down the street with DJ without someone stopping to say hello. She knows all the best spots in the neighbourhood and the people who make the community what it is.
