Thank You for Making the 9th edition of Herstory Unforgettable!
We are filled with gratitude following the tremendous success of our annual fundraising gala, Herstory 2025. From inspiring speakers and powerful performances to the vibrant energy in the room, Herstory 2025 was a true celebration of honouring women’s stories, and raising vital funds to support life-changing programs.
We are thrilled to share that we raised a total of $244,030 which is going to ensure that our drop-in centres are able to continue supporting women, girls, and two-spirit people in the Downtown Eastside by creating a warm, welcoming space where the basic necessities of life are easily accessible in a safe environment.
A Night of Impact, Inspiration, and Community
The Herstory Gala brought together passionate individuals, advocates, and leaders for a night filled with purpose, storytelling, and empowerment. From our moving keynote speeches and inspiring performances to the exciting live and silent auctions, the energy in the room was electric — and it was all made possible by the incredible support we receive from our amazing community of donors!
Thanks to the generous support of Parq Casino and BCLC, Herstory was hosted in the stunning D/6 Bar & Lounge, located in the Douglas Hotel at Parq Casino.
The event was hosted by Madelaine McCallum, followed by the Territorial Welcome by Cecilia Point (Musqueam) and Elder Syexwaliya (Squamish Nation); Opening Prayer by Elder Rita Blind and Drums by Wildflower Women of Turtle Island.
Undeniably the highlight of the night was the fashion show! 20 women of the centre prepared for weeks to showcase their style and energy! They walked with confidence and grace as more than 300 attendees cheered them on!
